After a explanation to Frank and your Grandmother, they understood why you did what you did. You simply told some more vegetables to him the next day.
You smiled and set a glass of ice tea, down at a small table for your grandma.
"Thank you, dear."
You smiled and nodded. You wiped your forehead with a rag.
"(____), dear. Didn't you say that that young man, needed a job?" She asked you.
You nodded, "Yes ma'am."
"And you could use the help here, why don't you let him help you here, until he finds a good job." She suggested.
You smiled. Why didn't you ever think of that? It was a good idea. You nodded and ran off and grabbed your cell phone.
"Crap, what's his number?!"
You ran your hands through your hair. But then remembered that you told him to call you.
Toni sighed and held Lovino on his waist as he walked down the street. He just got evicted from his apartment and had 2 days to collect his things and leave.
"Papa, are you going to call that Bella ragazza?"
Toni eyes widened, how could he forget, she gave him her number. Maybe she could help him. But he didn't want to bug her.
"I think I'm going to call her now, bambino."
The small boy nodded and let his father carry him to a phone booth. Toni placed Lovino down on the ground.
"Lovino, stay right here."
He nodded, as Toni placed a quarter in the slot and punched in the number from his hand.
'Is this Antonio from the bus yesterday?'
"Si. Si. I just wanted to ask you a favor-"
'Oh my gosh, I was waiting for your call. Why don't you come over to my house for dinner, at about 5:30?'
He smiled, "Okay! I'll see you then."
'Okay, my address is, (enter address here). See you then and tell Lovino hello. Adios~!'
Toni hung up the phone and instantly picked up Lovino. He hugged him tightly, rubbing there cheeks together.
"Gah, stop it!" Lovino said as he pushed the older man away from him.
"I'm sorry, I'm just excited about getting to see that niña bonita from yesterday!"
Lovino just blushed from the thought of you, you were pretty. Your (h/l) (h/c) , and bright (e/c).
"Come on Lovino, let's go clean up at the apartment and then we can head over towards her house.
You poured oil into a skillet, and added some chopped up onions, garlic and bell pepper. And sautéed over low heat.
You heard the door bell ring, you smiled.
"Grandma, can you get that?" You asked, and looked over at her from her current place in the dining room.
"I'll get it dear, you keep cooking." She stood up slowly and scored towards the front door.
You smiled and continued cooking,
"Hola~, you must be (____)'s grandmother."
You smiled at Toni's cheerful voice. You suddenly heard some small feet walking across the hardwood floor.
"H-Hello, Miss (____)." You heard Lovino shyly say.
You smile and look at him, "Hi Lovino, you can just call me (____)."
He nodded and walked closer to you, "What are you cooking?"
You smiled and held out your arms to the small boy, "Do you want to watch?"
He nodded and let you pick him up and put him on the counter.
"Okay, don't touch the stove. Okay?"
He nodded and watched as you chopped up some more food and put it in the skillet.
"I'm cooking some Mediterranean Tomato Soup, since it's kind of cold outside. And since you like tomato's."
His eyes gleamed when you mentioned tomato's. He blushed and nodded excitedly.
Once dinner was finished, you looked at Lovino who looked like he was going to fall asleep any minute. You smiled.
"Are you tired Lovino?"
He nodded softly, you smiled and watched as Toni stood up and picked him up. You got up and picked up the dirty plates and gently placed them into the sink. Then walked to the living room where you saw Toni laying Lovino on the couch.
"Here you can use this blanket." You whispered and layed the soft blanket on the small boy.
Antonio smiled at you and nodded. You smiled back, "Come on. I want to show you something."
He followed you out your backyard, only to be stunned by a huge, Tomato field.
"Wow, look at all the tomato's!" He said stunned.
You chuckled at his excitement, "Yeah, this farm has been passed down from my great- great grandfather, to my grandmother, and soon it will be mine."
"Wow, it must take you forever to pick all of them."
You nodded, "It usually takes about two to three days to pick all of them."
"Wow, it sounds like you need help."
You nodded once again, "That's what I wanted to talk to you about, my grandmother said it would be fine if you wanted to help out here, until you find a better job! You'll get paid!"
Antonio was shocked, the girl he just met yesterday wanted to give him a job. He smiled and hugged her tightly.
"Thank you, hermoso!"
You blushed, he called you beautiful. He pulled away from the hug and smiled at you.
'Maybe this will be the start of a exciting year...'
